The United Nations Postal Administration will not be at PENPEX 2012. Rick Richardson has been the UN rep at PENPEX for over 20 years, but has retired due to health issues.
Rick, a life member of Sequoia Stamp Club, has been a SSC member since 1992. In the late 1980s, he became a UN rep at many Bay Area stamp shows and sold all UNPA stamps which came in three different currencies; U.S. dollars, Swiss francs, and Euro. The stamps are valid for postage when used on mail from the UN offices in New York, Geneva, and Vienna.
PENPEX has looked for a replacement UN rep, but none are currently serving the Bay Area. But when one door closes another opens and in this case PENPEX has a new dealer who has never been to PENPEX before.
